What this machine determines

Pressing sets density, and density sets burn duration. A denser briquette burns longer and is also harder to light. Where the right point sits depends on the market you serve.

The die sets the shape, and shape is not a matter of taste:

• Hexagonal with a hole draws air into the core — steadier heat for longer, the standard for commercial grilling.
• Cube stacks without voids — most efficient for container shipping, and the shisha standard.
• Finger lights faster because of its surface-area-to-volume ratio.

Before you buy

A press is one link, not the whole chain. Good briquettes need the right feedstock, controlled carbonisation, and adequate drying before pressing. No press repairs charcoal whose carbonisation failed.

If you are building a production line from scratch, the sensible order is: secure feedstock supply, get carbonisation under control, then invest in pressing and drying.

Tell us your target product and monthly volume — press capacity has to match carbonisation capacity, and a mismatch there is expensive idle equipment.
