Sustainability Commitment

Every kilogram of charcoal we produce comes from coconut shells — agricultural waste that would otherwise be discarded. ABRA BRIK runs a circular economy model: turning waste into high-value export products while reducing pressure on forest timber.

We also actively support coconut farmer empowerment programs in Bogor and Maluku, ensuring fair and sustainable raw material pricing.

Our Story

From a kiln in Ciomas to seven countries

ABRA BRIK began in 2019 in Ciomas, Bogor, around a simple observation: the coconut shell that most people treat as waste is one of the cleanest, densest fuels available — provided it is burned, pressed and dried properly. We started with the burning, and learned the rest by doing it.

Indonesia is the world's largest exporter of coconut-shell charcoal, yet much of that value is captured between the farmer and the buyer. So we built the chain ourselves — sourcing, burning, pressing, packing — because a buyer asking about ash content, moisture or burn time should be answered by the people who control those numbers, not by a trader relaying a guess.

Today production runs across five workshops in three provinces — Bogor, Central Sulawesi and East Java — with 50+ tonnes of briquette and up to 90 tonnes of charcoal and biochar a month, shipping to seven countries. The head office sits in Sentul, Bogor, where buyers, partners and applicants are received.

PT Abra Bioenergi Nusantara now operates as part of PT Kora Prima Abadi. The factory, the team and the specifications stay exactly as they are — the group behind them is simply larger, which is what lets us commit to volume and continuity over a longer horizon than a single harvest season.

Mission

To produce premium quality coconut shell charcoal and briquettes that empower local economies, compete globally, and contribute to sustainable biomass utilization.

Vision

To be Indonesia's most trusted and recognized manufacturer of coconut shell charcoal and briquettes — known for quality, reliability, and sustainable practices.
