Spent coffee grounds from coffee-shop espresso machines, available dried or wet, ready for further processing.

Feedstock, not a finished product

This is not a ready-to-burn fuel. It is raw material for you to process — into briquettes, pellets, biochar, compost, growing media, or as a component in other products.

We supply it to buyers who have their own processing and need a regular, traceable source of spent grounds.

Two conditions — state which you need

• Dried grounds — 15–20% moisture. Sun-dried to a stable level. The choice if you want to move straight into downstream processing without carrying the drying cost yourself.
• Wet grounds (standard) — 20–50% moisture. Straight from the espresso machine. Sensible if you have your own dryer and cost your freight on a dry-matter basis.

The feedstock is the same; what differs is how much water has been removed before shipping.

That gap decides your cost. Coffee grounds leave an espresso machine very wet; the dried grade is down to 15–20% and can generally be pressed as received. The wet grade you will need to dry yourself before briquetting or pelletising — cost the energy, and remember you are also paying freight on water you will later boil off.

We state the figure as it stands so you can calculate your drying requirement and not misjudge your yield. Moisture is quoted per shipment.

Why espresso grounds

Grounds from espresso machines are more uniform than those from manual brewing: the grind size is consistent and extraction is even. For processing that needs a stable input, that means more predictable output.

Volume and supply

Because this is a waste stream collected daily, supply depends on the collection network. Tell us the monthly volume you need, the condition you want (dried or wet), and your schedule, so we can confirm whether it can be met consistently — an honest answer about availability is more useful than a promise that cannot be kept.
